Jill Gutowitz is an author, director, and writer. Her debut book of essays GIRLS CAN KISS NOW — which Diablo Cody called “hilarious and heartfelt” — was released March 8th, 2022 via Simon & Schuster and earned rave reviews from Associated Press, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as being named an Indie Bestseller by the Los Angeles Times. Jill’s writing has been featured in The New Yorker, Time, Vanity Fair, Vulture, ELLE, and more. She also wrote for GAYME SHOW on Quibi. Her debut short film “The Ladies” starring Lisa Ann Walter, Jaren Lewison, Alexis G. Zall and Annie Korzen premiered at Outfest in July 2022 and played at NewFest, HollyShorts, Milwaukee Film Festival and more, as well as being awarded Best Director at LGBTQ+ Toronto Film Festival. She has since directed a promotional video starring drag queens Gottmik and Violet Chachki for Netflix in support of the series “Wednesday.”
